SAZU Council Appoints Acting Bursar, Promotes Professors and Staff

The Governing Council of Sa'adu Zungur University (SAZU) has announced several key appointments and promotions following the 28th Regular Meeting held August 27-28, 2025.

Administrative Appointment

Malam Ibrahim Abdullahi has been appointed as Acting Bursar, effective August 28, 2025.

Promotions to Professor

Three faculty members have been elevated to the rank of Professor:

• Prof. Isyaku Abdullahi - Health Education
• Prof. Salisu A. Garba - Public Law
• Prof. Haladu A. Gagman - Parasitology

Promotions to Reader

Five scholars were promoted to Reader rank:

• Dr. Ibrahim Danjuma - Public Law
• Dr. Shamsuddeen Magaji - Public Law
• Dr. Kabiru I. Karamba - Environmental Microbiology
• Dr. Awwal Hussain Nuhu - Analytical Chemistry
• Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Aliyu - Applied Linguistics

Administrative Staff Promotions

• Hajiya Munira Sagir - Advanced to Deputy Registrar
• Mr. Labaran Ibrahim - Promoted to Deputy Bursar

All promotions took effect October 1, 2024. Vice Chancellor Professor Fatimah Tahir noted that these decisions reflect the university's commitment to merit, excellence, and institutional growth.
