Summary

SAZU SRC urged students to check rider jacket colors and ID numbers before using okada or tricycle services and report issues to the Security Office.

Sa'adu Zungur University (Bauchi State University, BASU) has issued a safety notice to students who use commercial motorcycles (Achaba) and tricycles (Napep).

The Students' Representative Council (SRC) warned that past incidents involving loss of phones, food, and other valuables have been reported, and urged students to be vigilant.

How to identify registered riders

  • Blue jacket: Napep (tricycle) rider
  • Orange jacket: Achaba (motorcycle) rider
  • Green jacket: supervisors/leaders of rider groups (usually marked at the back)

Students are advised to check the jacket color and the identification number printed on it before boarding.

Report issues promptly

If you forget an item or experience any issue, report immediately to the Security Office. The SRC said records are available there to help identify riders and take action.
