Sokoto State Scholarship Board Verification Exercise for 2025/2026 Beneficiaries

The Sokoto State Scholarship Board has announced a verification exercise for all scholarship beneficiaries (both newly admitted and returning students) for the 2025/2026 academic session. This applies to indigenes of Sokoto State enrolled at designated institutions.

Eligible Institutions

• Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS)
• Sokoto State University
• Shehu Shagari College of Education
• Shehu Shagari University of Education

Verification Schedule

• UDUS: January 5-10, 2026
• Sokoto State University: January 26-31, 2026
• Shehu Shagari Institutions: Dates to be announced

Time: Daily at 8:00 AM at respective school locations

Required Documents

All beneficiaries must bring the following for verification:

1. Completed Scholarship Application Form
2. Original and photocopies of all academic credentials
3. Sokoto State Indigene Letter
4. Confirmation of Admission letter
5. National Identification Number (NIN) slip
6. Invoice and Remita or other payment evidence for registration fees

Important Notes

The verification exercise is mandatory for all scholarship recipients. Failure to appear during the scheduled dates may affect your scholarship status. Ensure all documents are prepared in advance to avoid last-minute issues.
