Sokoto State University Opens Postgraduate Admission for 2025/2026 Session

Sokoto State University (SSU) has commenced admission into its postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. The university is inviting applications from qualified candidates across multiple disciplines.

Available Programmes

Faculty of Arts

PhD and Master of Arts (MA) degrees in Arabic, Islamic Studies, History, and Hausa Studies.

Faculty of Social and Management Sciences

PhD, M.Phil/PhD, and MSc options in Political Science and Sociology. Master's programmes in International Relations, Strategic Studies, and Development Studies. PGD in Development Studies is also available.

Faculty of Education

PhD, M.Phil/PhD, and M.Ed qualifications in Guidance and Counselling, Educational Management, and subject-specific education including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science. A Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Education is also on offer.

Faculty of Science

PhD programmes in Chemistry and Mathematics. MSc programmes in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Chemistry. PGD in Microbiology is available.

Faculty of Computing

MSc and PGD programmes in Computer Science.
