TASCE Post-UTME 2025: NCE Admission Requirements & Registration
Taraba State College of Education (TASCE) has announced admission requirements for its 2025/2026 NCE programmes. The institution offers 69 two-year NCE combinations with dual pathway options for qualified candidates.
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates qualify with any of these credentials:
1. O-Level Certificates (NECO/WASSCE/GCE):
- Five credit passes including English and Mathematics
- Three credits in subjects relevant to chosen programme
- Maximum two sittings accepted
2. Teacher's Certificate II:
- Credit or merit in five subjects
- Must include English, Mathematics, and three relevant courses
3. Vocational Certificates:
- RSA, City & Guilds Intermediate, or Federal Craft Training
- Five credit/merit passes in relevant subjects
4. NABTEB Certificate:
- Five credit passes in relevant subjects
- All credits from one sitting
5. Arabic/Islamic Studies Certificates:
- Senior or Higher certificate level
- Five credit/merit passes including English
Two Admission Pathways
Option 1: Full-Time NCE Programme (100 Level)
- For candidates with minimum 100 JAMB score
- Plus five O-level credits in relevant subjects
- Direct entry into 100-level NCE
Option 2: NCE Foundation Programme
- For candidates with 100+ JAMB score
- But lacking sufficient O-level results
- Complete remedial year, then progress to 200-level
