The University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) has opened admission into the School of Health Information Management (SHIM) for the 2026/2027 academic session. The official notices cover the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) full-time programmes.

ND requirements
- Applicants must have written the 2026 UTME. UITH says the minimum score will be determined by the school.
- The UTME subject combination listed by UITH is English Language, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
- Applicants need at least five O'level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two sittings.
- NABTEB is accepted, but UITH says it cannot be combined with another O'level certificate.
- Applicants should also review the fitness and record conditions listed on the official ND notice.
HND requirements
- Applicants must meet the ND admission requirements.
- Applicants must have a National Diploma certificate or Health Record Technician certificate.
- Applicants with ND in Health Information Management need evidence of one year industrial training and a professional licence certificate, Part I, from the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria.
- Applicants also need the required O'level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Fees and deadline
- ND applicants pay a total of N7,500: N2,000 Post-UTME fee, N5,000 screening/interview fee and N500 administrative charge.
- HND applicants pay N10,000.
- UITH says completed application forms with original receipt of payment must reach the Office of the College Secretary, School Complex, on or before 24 August 2026.
Programme duration
UITH states that the ND and HND programmes run for two calendar years and commence in October 2026.
