Umaru Musa Yar'adua University (UMYU), Katsina has announced a second round of Post-UTME registration following the National Universities Commission's approval of 15 new undergraduate programmes.

Registration Timeline

  • Registration Opens: Saturday, 11th October 2025
  • Registration Closes: Friday, 17th October 2025
  • Aptitude Test Date: Saturday, 18th October 2025

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this second Post-UTME exercise, candidates must:

  • Have selected UMYU as their first choice institution in the 2025 UTME
  • Meet the minimum cut-off marks for their chosen programmes
  • Have the correct UTME subject combinations for their intended course of study

Candidates awaiting O'Level results may also apply. Those identified by JAMB as having special needs are exempt from taking the aptitude test.

Registration Fee and Process

The registration fee is N2,000 (all charges inclusive). Payment can be made through the options available on the university's website.

UTME candidates must bring their payment slips to the aptitude test venue.

Newly Approved Programmes

The 15 programmes now available include Doctor of Physiotherapy, Nursing Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Medical Laboratory Science, and Food Science and Technology, among others.

Programmes Exempt from Aptitude Test

Candidates for Agriculture, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Law, and Medicine and Surgery do not need to take the aptitude test.
