UNIBEN Extends Post-UTME and Direct Entry Registration Deadlines for 2025/2026

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has granted additional time for prospective students to complete their Post-UTME and Direct Entry applications for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The management announced new deadlines to accommodate candidates who may have faced challenges completing their registration:

• Post-UTME Registration: Now closes Tuesday, August 26, 2025
• Direct Entry Registration: Extended to Tuesday, September 2, 2025

This extension offers a crucial opportunity for candidates who selected UNIBEN as their first choice or changed to UNIBEN during the JAMB Choice of Institution process. If you've been preparing your documents or saving funds for the application fee, you now have extra days to finalize your submission.

What You Need to Apply

• Valid JAMB registration number
• O'Level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
• JAMB UTME score meeting UNIBEN's minimum requirements
• Payment confirmation for the screening fee

The screening exercise typically follows shortly after registration closes, so candidates should prepare adequately. Visit the official UNIBEN portal to complete your application before the deadline.

For students already admitted to other institutions but considering UNIBEN, remember that JAMB CAPS allows you to accept or reject admissions, but switching after acceptance requires careful timing.
