UNIBEN Announces GST Examination Schedule for 1st Semester 2024/2025

The University of Benin has released the Computer-Based Test schedule for General Studies (GST) examinations for the 2024/2025 first semester. All 100 and 200 level students must take note of these dates.

Examination Dates

100 Level Students: May 14-16, 2025
200 Level Students: May 29-31, 2025

GST Courses by Level

100 Level (New Curriculum - CCMAS):

• GST111 - Communication in English
• GST112 - Nigerian Peoples and Culture

100 Level (Carryover - Old & New Curriculum):

• GST111 - Use of English / Communication in English
• GST112 - Philosophy & Logic / Nigerian Peoples & Culture

200 Level (New Curriculum - CCMAS):

• GST212 - Philosophy, Logic and Human Existence
• GST312 - Peace Studies Conflict Resolution

Check Your Exam Details

Starting Monday, May 5, 2025, log in to the UNIBEN Portal to find your:

• Specific examination date
• Exam venue location
• Exam time

Don't assume your exam is on the first day of your level's exam period. Check the portal for your exact schedule.

Computer-Based Testing Tips

GST exams use the CBT format. To prepare effectively:

• Practice with CBT software before exam day
• Familiarize yourself with navigating questions on screen
• Learn to manage time in the CBT interface
• Understand how to review and submit answers

Arrive at your exam venue at least 30 minutes early. Bring your student ID card and exam slip. No phones or smart devices allowed in the exam hall.
