UNICAL Inter-denominational Service for 2025/2026 Academic Session: Date and Venue

The University of Calabar (UNICAL) will hold an inter-denominational worship service to mark the commencement of the 2025/2026 academic session. All members of the university community are invited to attend.

• Date: Monday, 10th November, 2025
• Time: 10:00 AM prompt
• Venue: Senator Godswill Akpabio International Conference Centre, University of Calabar

Who Should Attend

The service is open to all members of the UNICAL community:

• Students (both undergraduate and postgraduate)
• Academic staff
• Non-academic staff
• University administrators

Important Academic Adjustment

To enable full participation in this service, the Vice-Chancellor has directed that:

All lectures scheduled between 10:00 AM and 12:00 noon on Monday, November 10th will be shifted forward.

This means students and staff can attend the service without missing academic activities.

Dress Code

Community members are encouraged to wear UNICAL fabrics to add color and a sense of community to the event. However, this is not mandatory.
