UNICAL Resumption Date for 2023/2024 Academic Session

UNICAL Resumption Date: The Management of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has announced November 25, 2023 as the commencement date of lectures for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The information which was conveyed in a release issued by the Registrar of the University of Calabar, Mr Gabriel Egbe stated that the 2023/2024 academic session will encompass second semester of 2022/2023, and first semester of 2023/2024.

The release disclosed that screening/registration for new students will commence on November 27, 2023 while returning students are expected back on December 1, 2023 to commence registration. Lectures for both New and Returning students begin on December 4, 2023.

The breakdown of the amended academic calendar is as follows;

• Saturday, 25th November, 2023: Arrival of new students
• Monday, 27th November, 2023: Screening/registration of new students begins
• Friday, 1st December, 2023: Arrival of returning students
• Monday, 4th December, 2023: Registration begins for returning students
• Monday, 4th December, 2023: Lectures begins for all students
• Thursday, 21st December, 2023: Christmas Break begins
• Wednesday, 3rd January, 2024: Arrival of students from Christmas break
• Monday, 15th January, 2024: Late registration begins for all students
• Thursday, 18th – Friday, 19th January, 2024: Orientation for fresh students
• Friday, 26th January, 2024: Matriculation
• Monday, 29th January, 2024: Add and drop courses end for all students.
