UNILAG Issues Notice on Student ID Card Upload and Re-Upload Requirements

The University of Lagos has issued an important notice regarding student ID card uploads. Students who uploaded or re-uploaded their information between Wednesday, August 20 and Friday morning, August 22, 2025, are required to resubmit their materials on the portal.

Affected Students

This notice applies to students who uploaded their details during the specified period and need to re-upload their passport photographs and signatures.

Photo Requirements

Students must ensure their passport photographs meet the following criteria:

• Clear, recent passport photograph
• White background only - photos with non-white backgrounds will not be printed
• Proper lighting and clear facial features

Signature Requirements

The signature uploaded must be:

• Clear and legible
• Properly scanned or captured
• Verified to display correctly on the portal before final submission

Deadline

Submission Deadline: Sunday, August 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM

Eligible Categories

1. Newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 academic session
2. Year 2-5 students without ID cards who have submitted official written requests
3. Students with lost or misplaced cards who have payment evidence and valid police reports

How to Upload

1. Visit the student ID portal at studentid.unilag.edu.ng
2. Log in with your credentials
3. Upload your passport photograph (white background)
4. Upload your signature
5. Verify both display correctly
6. Submit before the deadline

Students who fail to comply with the photo background requirement will not have their ID cards printed.
