UNILORIN Achieves 100% NUC Accreditation Success Rate Across All Programs

The University of Ilorin has achieved remarkable success in the National Universities Commission's latest accreditation exercise, with all 37 submitted programs receiving approval.

The NUC granted full accreditation to 36 programs while awarding interim accreditation to one, with zero programs denied approval.

The NUC conducted its evaluation between October and November 2024, examining programs across UNILORIN's faculties. The comprehensive assessment reviewed academic standards, faculty qualifications, infrastructure, and learning resources.

Full accreditation went to programs spanning Management Sciences (Finance), Basic Medical Sciences (Anatomy), Communication and Information Sciences (Computer Science), and all 17 programs presented from the Faculty of Education.

Engineering programs in Chemical and Mechanical Engineering received full approval, alongside disciplines in Environmental Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Social Sciences. The Igbo language program also earned full accreditation status.

The Faculty of Arts' Hausa program received interim accreditation, indicating satisfactory standards with room for specific improvements before full approval.
