The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has opened registration for inter-university and inter-departmental transfers for the 2025/2026 academic session. The Office of the Registrar announced this on December 31, 2025.
Transfer Categories and Fees
UNIMAID offers four transfer categories with different fee structures:
- Inter-University Transfer (within Nigeria): ₦150,000
- Inter-University Transfer (from Abroad): ₦250,000
- Inter-Departmental Transfer (Voluntary): ₦100,000
- Inter-Departmental Transfer (Obligatory): ₦50,000
How to Apply
- Pay the non-refundable transfer fee through the University's Remita account via the official UNIMAID portal
- Present payment evidence at the Bursary Department
- Download transfer forms from the University ICT Centre

The transfer exercise is open to all interested staff and students seeking either inter-university or inter-departmental transfers.
