UNIMAID Opens Transfer Applications 2025/2026: Inter-University and Inter-Departmental

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has opened registration for inter-university and inter-departmental transfers for the 2025/2026 academic session. The Office of the Registrar announced this on December 31, 2025.

Transfer Categories and Fees

UNIMAID offers four transfer categories with different fee structures:

• Inter-University Transfer (within Nigeria): ₦150,000
• Inter-University Transfer (from Abroad): ₦250,000
• Inter-Departmental Transfer (Voluntary): ₦100,000
• Inter-Departmental Transfer (Obligatory): ₦50,000

How to Apply

1. Pay the non-refundable transfer fee through the University's Remita account via the official UNIMAID portal
2. Present payment evidence at the Bursary Department
3. Download transfer forms from the University ICT Centre

Eligibility

The transfer exercise is open to all interested staff and students seeking either inter-university or inter-departmental transfers.

• Students must complete the entire application process at the university
