UNIPORT Senate Approves Requirement For Direct Entry Into Medicine & Dentistry Programmes

Senate of the University of Port-harcourt (UNIPORT) has approved that candidates seeking admission into the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MB.BS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programmes through the Direct Entry mode must possess, at least, the Second Class Honours (Upper Division) degree in relevant Advanced Level subjects to be adjudged eligible for consideration. 

This approval came during the 429th Senate Meeting of the institution.

The approval further stipulated that prospective candidates must be admitted into the Second Year to enable them take compulsory MBBS courses at that level.
