UNIUYO Postgraduate Admission 2026/2027: Programmes, Fee and Portal

The University of Uyo has opened applications for postgraduate admission into its 2026/2027 academic session.

Available Study Levels

• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
• Master's degrees such as MSc, MA, MEd, MEng, MLIS and MPharm
• MPhil/PhD integrated programmes
• Doctoral degrees (PhD)

Faculties Covered

Programmes are available across 17 faculties, including Agriculture, Arts, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Communication and Media Studies, Education, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Law, Management Sciences, Pharmacy, Social Sciences, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Computing, Vocational Education and Library and Information Sciences.

Programme Duration

• PGD: 2 to 4 semesters, except Engineering which may run for 4 to 6 semesters.
• Master's: 4 to 6 semesters.
• PhD: 6 to 10 semesters.
• MPhil/PhD: minimum of 2 semesters before transition.

General Requirements

• At least five O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
• For PGD, a minimum of Third Class degree from UNIUYO or another Senate-recognised university, or HND not below Lower Credit from a recognised institution.
• NYSC discharge, exemption or exclusion certificate.
• Department-specific requirements where applicable.
• Research proposal for PGD, master's and PhD applicants where required.
• Academic transcripts and three reference letters.

Application Fee and Portal

The application fee is ₦20,000. Candidates should apply through the UNIUYO e-portals hub.

How to Apply

1. Visit the UNIUYO e-portals hub.
2. Follow the postgraduate admission instructions and pay the ₦20,000 non-refundable application fee.
3. Print the payment receipt.
4. Return to the online portal and use the registration link to obtain login credentials.
5. Complete the application form and print the 2026/2027 application form.
6. Upload all relevant credentials, transcripts and research proposals in PDF format.

UNIUYO states that hard-copy submission of relevant documents is not required.
