A 200-level student at the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has been suspended by the management of the institution for smoking weed (marijuana) on campus. The 200-level student identified as Uzoagba Chinaemerem of the department of Physics was caught smoking on the 27th November 2019 in Hall 4 of the institution’s Male Hostel.
It was gathered that the student will remain on suspension till the Students’ Disciplinary Committee concludes its investigation, as disclosed in a letter dated 17 January 2020 and signed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Zana Akpagu.
