The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Akwa (UNIZIK), Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, speaking at the matriculation ceremony on Saturday, warned students against cultism, forgery, examination malpractices and other vices throughout their stay.

He said cultism and deviant behaviours remained an anathema and attracted expulsion.

He stated that payment of school fees and attendance of 75 percent of lectures in all courses were prerequisites for successful graduation.

Ahaneku urged the new students to take their studies seriously and avoid associations capable of jeopardizing their future.

He went on to say that the university had provided students with a congenial environment and welfare facilities for their development in character and learning.
