Not lesser than seven students of Government Girls’ College in Doma, Gombe state who are currently writing their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) have tested positive for COVID-19.

This was disclosed by the Gombe State commissioner for education, Habu Dahiru on Wednesday, August 19 after 1,100 cases were tested, out of which the first case came from Government Science Secondary School.
The commissioner also pointed out that, the positive test will not stop the students from sitting for the exams.
