WAEC Extends Registration Deadline for 2026 CB-WASSCE

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced an extension of the registration deadline for the 2026 Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for School Candidates.

According to an update shared on the council's official X (formerly Twitter) handle @waecnigeria on 6th March, 2026, schools that are yet to complete the registration process now have additional time to finalize their candidates' entries.

New Registration Deadline

The registration period, which was initially scheduled to close earlier, has now been extended to Friday, March 13, 2026. This extension is expected to provide schools with more time to complete documentation, verify candidate details, and ensure that all eligible students are successfully registered for the examination.

Advisory to Schools

WAEC advised school administrators and examination officers to take advantage of the extended deadline to avoid last-minute issues that could prevent candidates from being properly enrolled for the examination.
