The announcement was made on Thursday, February 20, 2026, confirming that candidates who participated in the examination can now check their results online.

- Candidates with 5+ credits (including English & Maths): 42.17%
- Results fully processed: 94.21%
- Results withheld (malpractice): 2.89%
This represents a significant improvement compared to recent examination series, with more candidates meeting the minimum requirement for tertiary institution admission.
How to Check WAEC GCE 2025 Result Online
Follow these steps to check your WAEC GCE result:
- Visit the WAEC result checking portal at www.waecdirect.org
- Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number (7-digit centre number + 3-digit candidate number)
- Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year (e.g., 2025)
- Select the Type of Examination: PRIVATE CANDIDATE RESULT
- Enter the Card Serial Number from your Scratch card
- Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card
- Click Submit and wait for your results
Note: The result checker PIN and Serial Number needed to check your result online is contained on your Smart Identity Card used during the examination.
