FG Suspends Proposed WAEC and NECO 2027 Fee Review

The Federal Government has withdrawn the proposed review of registration fees for the 2027 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and the National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination.

The Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation said the proposed adjustment, communicated in a June 18, 2026 letter, has been suspended to allow broader consultation with examination bodies, schools, parents and other education stakeholders.
