WAEC results for school and private candidates are checked through the official WAEC Direct portal. This guide shows the details you need, how to check online, and how to use the SMS option when you have no internet.

What you need

• Your 10-digit WAEC examination number
• Examination year
• Examination type (School Candidates or Private Candidates)
• Result checker PIN and serial number from a WAEC scratch card

Check your WAEC result online

1. Go to waecdirect.org.
2. Enter your exam number, year, and exam type.
3. Enter the scratch card PIN and serial number.
4. Submit to view and print your result.

Check by SMS (no internet)

Send the message below to the WAEC SMS short code. Follow the exact format with no spaces.

WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear

Send to 32327 (SMS cost is N30). Availability depends on supported networks.

If the portal is busy or down

• Wait a little and try again; heavy traffic is common on release days.
• Use only the official WAEC portal to avoid scams.
