WAEC Withdraws Certificate of 1992 and 1993 Candidates due to Malpractice

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released a list of candidates whose certificates have been withdrawn between December 1992 and 1993 by the commission due to malpractices.

The list of affected WAEC candidates was published in the weekly bulletin of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, released on Monday. The nature of the malpractices of the affected candidates was found to be on impersonation.

Hence, JAMB has noted that it would be partnering with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), to curb the menace of impersonation by, enforcing its candidates’ registration for the national identity number.
