A video of a female student of the Yaba College of Technology in Lagos stealing over N500,000 from the company where she was performing her mandatory Industrial Training programme (SIWES), was posted on Facebook.
According to Facebook user, Ayodele Gbenga Oladimeji, who posted the video, the lady stole the money with the approval of her father. He wrote;
”This is Ife Aboyeji, a ND ii Student of Business Administration in Yaba College of Technology who was on SIWES in an organisation and carted away with over 500k within her 3months in the organisation.
Investigation reveals that her father is an accomplice as he has been benefiting from the proceeds of theft.
Train your kids well so they don’t end up being an embarrassment to not your family alone but the society. Yabatech management must take actions as her act has brought disrepute to the institution.

YABATECH SIWES Logbook Collection: This is to inform all the ND 1 students of the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) who are on SIWES (skill training programme designed to expose students of the College to industry-based situations they may likely face after graduation) that the management of the institution has announced the deadline for the collection of their logbooks.
Note that the 2017/2018 SIWES commenced on the 20th of December, 2018, hence the Unit will stop issuance of 2017/2018 SIWES logbook on the Friday 18th of January 2019. In other words, the FINAL deadline for the issuance of 2017/2018 SIWES logbook is on the Friday 18th of January 2019. All ND1 students are advised to note this.

EARLIER: YABATECH SIWES Students Resumption Date Has Been Announced for all students on the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
This is to inform all the students of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) who are on SIWES (skill training programme designed to expose students of the College to industry-based situations they may likely face after graduation) that the management has announced their resumption date.
All the students on Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) are to resume on 15th June, 2018.
