Who Can Apply?

For UTME Candidates

  • Must have chosen Yobe State University as FIRST CHOICE institution
  • Meet the minimum JAMB score required for your chosen program
  • Check the official YSU website for program-specific cut-off marks

For Direct Entry Candidates

  • Hold qualifying certificates (HND, NCE, ND, IJMB)
  • Meet the Direct Entry requirements for your chosen program
  • Have Yobe State University as your first choice

Registration Process

Follow these steps to register for YSU Post-UTME screening:

  1. Visit any cyber café or use online banking to generate REMITA payment
  2. Obtain your RRR (Remittance Retrieval Reference) number
  3. Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee through REMITA
  4. Print your payment slip as proof of payment
  5. Visit the YSU Post-UTME portal at ysu.edu.ng/smis/putme/login.php
  6. Complete the online registration form
  7. Upload all required documents (see list below)
  8. Submit your application and print acknowledgment slip

Required Documents

Prepare and upload scanned copies of the following:

  • 2025 JAMB UTME result slip (for UTME candidates)
  • SSCE results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
  • Certificate of Local Government Area of origin (indigene letter)
  • Primary School Leaving Certificate
  • Birth certificate or age declaration

Additional Requirements for Direct Entry

  • HND, NCE, ND, or IJMB certificate
  • Direct Entry result slip from JAMB
  • Academic transcripts (where applicable)

  • Ensure all documents are clearly scanned and legible
  • Only first-choice candidates are eligible for screening
