The 37th convocation ceremony of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria scheduled to hold on Saturday, 22nd November, 2014 will see a total of 14,000 graduates conferred with various first degrees and postgraduate degrees.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Abdullahi Mustapha, stated in his convocation briefing that about 33 graduands made first class degrees and 1273 students made second class upper degrees out of a total of 9,232 undergraduates while 360 PhD students were graduating out of 4835 postgraduate students.
Mustapha added that the university is to honour Dr Bukar Usman with Doctor of Letters, Alh. Shetima Ali Mungunu with Doctor of Law, while HRH Halal Bin Abdulazeez Al-Saud would be honoured with Doctor of Science.
He congratulated the graduating students and urged them to be good ambassadors of the institution and country.
