Anambra state Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs Robinca Odigwe, said that nine corps members were honoured for their outstanding community development service during the passing out ceremony of 2014 batch C members.
She said that 10 others had disciplinary cases ranging from absenteeism to various contraventions of the provisions of the NYSC bye-laws.
NYSC Moments
Speaking at the ceremony, the Anambra state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, called on the outgoing members of the National Youth Service Corps to make contributions toward a strong, unified and prosperous Nigeria.
Represented by his deputy, Dr Nkem Okeke, Obaino reminded the corps members that their involvement in nation building process should not terminate with the completion of their youth service.
Earlier, Mr Tony Nnachetta, the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, lauded the contributions of the corps members in the area of education, health, agriculture and infrastructural development. (NAN)
