Ajayi Crowder University Gets New VC
The Governing Council of Ajayi Crowder University (ACU), Oyo has approved the appointment of Professor Dapo Asaju as the third Vice Chancellor of the institution.
Until his appointment, Prof. Asaju was a lecturer at the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo.
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), who made the announcement, described Asaju as a round peg in a round hole.
He added that Prof. Asaju scored 88 per cent in the interview to beat four other shortlisted candidates to emerge the new VC.

He held several other posts in the past, including Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Acting Dean, Faculty of Arts, Member of Council, Lagos State University (LASU) and a visiting associate professor, Bayreuth University, Germany, among others.The 53-year old professor of Christian Studies will assume office on 1st October, 2015.
