Here are Anambra State’s Beautiful Polytechnic Photos. Furnishing is in progress for the proposed Grundtvig Polytechnic at Oba, Anambra State, Nigeria.

It started as Grundtvig International Secondary School, a Nigerian independent boarding school in Oba, Anambra State. It is named afterDanish philosopher N. F. S. Grundtvig and is built upon his folk high school education-for-life principles for education. It educates boys and girls 12 to 18 years old and was founded in 1998 by Dr. Kachi Ozumba Snr (1942–2011). The school won the 2013 Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) Mathematics Competition in Anambra State.

Below are pictures of the Polytechnic.

The campus is on 10 hectares of land and securely walled. It is a community of its own with staff quarters, students’ hostels, classrooms, workshops, sports facilities and administrative block. It is regarded as the best independent secondary school in the state, based on infrastructures and student satisfaction.

Grundtvig International Secondary School is owned and operated by the Grundtvig Movement of Nigeria, a non-governmental organization. The Board of Trustees of the Grundtvig Movement controls the operations through the school principal.

It is located near major cities like Asaba, Nnewi, Owerri and Port Harcourt in Oba, Idemili local government area of Anambra state, Nigeria, in West Africa.

The school was founded in 1998 by Dr. Kachi E. Ozumba (1942–2011), on 11 March 1992, the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria together with His Excellency the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife laid the foundation stone of the Grundtvig Institute, Oba.

Since then the movement has grown, establishing Grundtvig International Secondary School and working toward establishing a polytechnic. As Ole Toftdahl, chairman of the Danish Friends of Nigeria, wrote:

”Kachi E. Ozumba founded in Nigeria a movement that has had tremendous impact on many people’s lives. With the Danish folk high school as his model, he formed on Nigerian ground a school with the Grundtvigian objective: ‘Education for life’.”
