BSUM Post UTME Details for 2024/2025 Session

The Management of the Benue State University has extended the deadline for application of the 2024/2025 Post UTME screening exercise.

Candidates who applied for programmes of the Benue State University and the general public are by this notice informed that registration for the 2024/2025 academic session admission has been extended to 5th January, 2025.

2. Candidates who are yet to register for the screening should avail themselves of the opportunity to proceed with the exercise without delay.

3. Both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates must mandatorily upload their Ordinary/Advanced Levels qualifications on JAMB portal (CAPS) to be qualified for all entry modes admission.

4. Candidates are to visit the University website at www.bsum.edu.ng under “Latest News/Events” (Registration for Pre-Admissions Screening Exercise for the 2024/2025 Academic Session).

5. Please note that, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has been officially notified to close the portal against change of institution to programmes of the Benue State University for the 2024/2025 admission in line with the Board’s admission guidelines.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Benue State University, Makurdi (BSUM) DEGREE programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCREENING

Candidates must have made the Benue state University their first choice or changed from other institutions to make the Benue State University their first choice, and score the required UTME score:

4 MBBS, Pharm. D, LL.B, and all programs in the Faculty of Architecture 220+

How to Apply for the BSUM Post UTME Screening

i. Visit https://bsum.edu.ng and click on “Admissions” menu;

ii. Under “APPLICATIONS”, click on “Post UTME/DE”;

Ⅲ. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Click on “Verify”:

iv. Once your status is verified, click on “PROCEED” to access the E-Payment Platform where payment can be done via Cash at any Bank of your choice or online using Quick Teller;

v. All candidates are required to pay the sum of two thousand Naira (N2,000) only for the screening:

vi. After payment, go to the BSU website and click on “ADMISSIONS” and on “Upload documents for PUTME” where you can enter your Registration Number and proceed to complete the Biodata and all the required sections;

vii. Upload Documents such as WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificates or statement of results(not online slips) as appropriate; and

Candidates are to take maximum advantage of the extension to register for the screening, please

About BSUM

Benue State University was established by the Benue State Government with the enactment of the Benue State University Edict No. 1 of 1991. The University took off in the 1992/93 academic year with four faculties, namely, Arts, Education, Science and Social Sciences. Two Faculties, Law and Management Sciences came on stream in the 1993/94 academic year.

A post graduate school took off in the 1998/1999 academic year while the College of Health Sciences was established in the 2003/2004 academic session. The University took off Nineteen years ago during the tenure of Late Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu as Executive Governor of Benue State. Adasu, therefore became the first Visitor of the University.
