JAMB CAPS Admission Status: How to Check and Confirm

JAMB's official CAPS page says candidates can check admission status on the JAMB portal and confirm provisional admissions. Candidate access is through JAMB e-Facility. The labels and actions visible inside an account can change, so use the wording shown in your own account rather than relying on an old screenshot.

How to check your JAMB admission status safely

1. Open JAMB e-Facility. The official address currently redirects to JAMB's live e-Facility login page.
2. Sign in with the email address and password connected to your account. Use the password-reset link on that official page if needed.
3. Open the admission-status or CAPS service presented inside your account.
4. Read the institution, programme and exact status carefully. Confirm a provisional admission only when the offer shown is correct and you understand the action.
5. Keep any acknowledgement or record the official service provides.

Do not guess what a status means

JAMB's public CAPS page verifies status checking and confirmation of provisional admissions, but it does not define every message a candidate may see. If your wording is unclear, do not rely on unofficial interpretations. Use the JAMB Central Online Support System or another official JAMB channel.

Protect your account

• Use only addresses on the official jamb.gov.ng domain or links reached from JAMB's website.
• Do not share your password, one-time code or payment details with an admission agent.
• Do not use the institution-only CAPS address as a candidate login page.
• Check that the institution and programme shown belong to you before confirming any offer.
