2 min read

Summary

Curtin RTP Scholarships support domestic and international research students. See the EOI window, supervisor invitation step, October 31 deadline and official links.

Curtin University has published the application pathway for Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships for Higher Degree by Research applicants. The scholarship round is open to current and prospective domestic and international applicants.

Who Should Apply?

The Curtin RTP scholarship pathway is for applicants planning a Higher Degree by Research, including research master's and doctoral study. Applicants must first work toward an endorsed invitation from a registered Curtin supervisor before submitting the scholarship application.

Key Timeline

  • RTP scholarship round opens: July 1
  • Expression of Interest period: July 1 to July 31
  • Admission application deadline: no later than October 31
  • Scholarship outcomes: November
  • Latest enrolment/start date: March 31

How the Application Process Works

  1. Review the available Curtin research project opportunities or prepare your own research proposal.
  2. Contact the advertised project lead or an eligible Curtin research supervisor during the EOI period.
  3. Secure an endorsed Invitation to Apply for both admission and scholarship by the end of July.
  4. Submit your HDR admission application no later than October 31 through Curtin's research application process.
  5. Watch your email for scholarship outcome communication in November.

Important Notes

  • You can only be shortlisted once, so choose your preferred project and supervisor carefully.
  • If you receive more than one project nomination, only the first nomination will be considered for scholarship ranking.
  • Applicants who have already completed a PhD are not eligible to apply.
  • Current Curtin HDR students must meet additional eligibility conditions, including good academic standing and supervisor support.

Official Application Links

Nigerian students planning postgraduate research abroad should prepare their research proposal, academic transcripts and referee information early so the EOI and October application deadlines do not become last-minute pressure points.
