FUGASHUA Postgraduate Admission Form 2025/2026: Fees, Deadline & How to Apply

The School of Postgraduate Studies, Federal University, Gashua (FUGASHUA), Yobe State, is now accepting applications for admission into its Postgraduate Diploma, Master's and Ph.D. programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. Applications close on Friday, 15th May 2026.

Application Fees (Non-Refundable)

• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): ₦10,000
• Master's Degree (M.Sc., M.A., MPA, Professional Masters): ₦20,000
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.): ₦25,000

• M.A. and Ph.D. in Islamic Studies

Faculty of Management & Social Sciences

• Accountancy (M.Sc., Ph.D., PGD in Accounting and Taxation)
• Economics & Development Studies (M.Sc., Ph.D., PGD in Economics)
• Geography (M.Sc., Ph.D., PGD in GIS)
• Public Administration (M.Sc., Ph.D., MPA, PGD)

Faculty of Science

• Chemistry (M.Sc., Ph.D., PGD)
• Mathematics (M.Sc., Ph.D., PGD)

Eligibility Requirements

• Candidates must have completed the NYSC programme or obtained an exemption or exclusion letter
• Only original certificates are recognised — awaiting results are not accepted
• Applicants must request official transcripts to be sent directly to FUGASHUA from their previous institution(s) before the closing date
• PGD applicants generally need a minimum of a Third Class or HND Lower Credit in a relevant field
• Master's applicants need at least a Second Class (Lower Division) in a relevant discipline
• Ph.D. applicants need an M.Sc., M.A., or M.Phil. with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale

How to Apply

1. Visit the FUGASHUA application portal at applicant.safapply.com/fuga
2. Browse the list of available programmes (filter by alphabet or use the search box)
3. Click More Information beside your preferred course to review requirements
4. Click Apply Now and either log in with Google or create a new account
5. Proceed to the application form and generate a payment invoice for the applicable fee
6. Complete payment, fill the form in full, and click Preview & Submit
7. Submit the completed form before the deadline

• Read each programme's admission requirements carefully before applying
• The university will not be liable for errors caused by incomplete or inaccurate applications
• Applications submitted after the deadline will not be processed
