FUHSA Remedial Program 2025: How to Apply for Health Sciences Foundation Studies

The Federal University of Health Sciences (FUHSA) has started accepting applications for its 2025/2026 remedial science program. This nine-month intensive course is designed for students who need to strengthen their science foundation before competing for admission into health science degree programs.

What is the FUHSA Remedial Program?

The remedial program offers an intensive academic year focused on core science subjects. It's ideal for students who don't have strong O'Level science credits or want to improve their competitiveness for health science programs. After successfully completing the program, you'll sit for JAMB alongside other candidates and compete for admission into FUHSA's degree programs.

Application Period

Applications opened on August 11th and will close on October 10th, 2025. The application fee is ₦10,000 (non-refundable).

Available Programs After Remedial

Upon completion, you can apply for admission into any of FUHSA's 23 health science programs, including:

• Medicine and Surgery (MBBS)
• Dentistry (BDS)
• Nursing Science (B.NSC)
• Nutrition and Dietetics
• Radiography and Medical Imaging
• Physiotherapy
• Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology
• Environmental Health Science
• Optometry (O.D.)
• Medical Laboratory Science
• And many other allied health programs

Who Should Apply?

You're eligible if you:

• Have at least three credits in your O'Level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB), including English Language and two science subjects
• Plan to register for the 2026 JAMB UTME examination
• Need to improve your science background to meet university admission requirements
• Have pending O'Level results (you can still apply while awaiting results)

1. Visit FUHSA Website: Go to www.fuhsa.edu.ng and locate the remedial programme portal
2. Create Your Profile: Register using a valid email address that you check regularly
3. Pay Application Fee: Complete payment of the ₦10,000 non-refundable application fee through the provided payment options
4. Complete the Form: Fill out all required sections accurately, providing details about your educational background and program preferences
5. Print Acknowledgement: After submission, download and print your application form for your records
