Are you ready for the chance of a lifetime? Apply for the Holland Scholarship! The Netherlands Government through the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well as several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences is offering the Holland Scholarship for International students to study for Undergraduate and Master’s programme.
The Holland Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well as several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. This scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their bachelor’s or master’s in the Netherlands.

What are the benefits of the scholarship?
The scholarship amounts to €5,000.
How long will the scholarship last?
You will receive this in the first year of your studies.

You are not an EU/EEA, Swiss or Surinamese passport holder
You are not eligible for support from the Dutch study finance system.
You have never studied at a Dutch university or a Dutch university of applied sciences.
You have completed your pre-university education outside The Netherlands.
What are the benefits of the award?
One-off payment of € 5,000 – which you will receive after arrival in The Netherlands in your first year of studies.
How to Apply for the Holland Government Scholarships at Leiden University
Please note that the Holland Scholarship is not a full scholarship. Non-EEA Holland Scholarship recipients must still submit ‘proof of sufficient funds’ for their student visa/residence permit application.
Compose a letter of motivation (max. 500 words), in which you describe why you are a talented student, taking into account both your academic achievements and extra-curricular activities (e.g. voluntary work).
Before 1 February, submit an online application for admission for one of the above-mentioned Bachelor’s progammes at Leiden University.
Indicate in your online application that you are applying for the Holland Scholarship and upload your scholarship motivation letter where indicated.

8 per faculty
Value and Duration of Award:
€ 5.000 in the first academic year for Non EEA students, as contribution to living expenses for a TU Delft MSc programme based on the statutory fee or institutional rate, according to the registered nationality.
A candidate can be awarded multiple Holland Scholarships, based on merit, to a maximum of 3 (€15.000).

Please note that Non-EU/EFTA students must include their English test with their application (if required). EU/EFTA students can submit this document in a later stage according to the Admission instructions.
