The ITC Excellence Scholarship Programme is available for excellent students applying for ITC’s Master’s degree programme Geo-information Science and Earth Observation with specializations in:

  • Applied Remote Sensing for Earth Sciences
  • Natural Hazards and Disaster Risk Reduction
  • Geoinformatics
  • Land Administration
  • Natural Resources Management
  • Urban Planning and Management-
  • Water Resources and Environmental Management.

Additional requirements for the application for the ITC Excellence Scholarship Programme include:

  • Residing in and being a national of a country listed on the OECD approved List of Recipients of Official Development Assistance
  • Having completed the Bachelor’s degree from a well-acknowledged university outside the Netherlands
  • Academic performance among the top 10%
  • English: IELTS 6.5
  • Relevant background for the intended field of study
  • Not eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans

What are the benefits of the award?

As this is a partial scholarship, admitted applicants must be able to show that additional funding is available to complement the funding through this scholarship (i.e. covering all remaining fees and costs in full before the payment deadline).

Extra facilities: Next to the standard study programme in which the applicant will be enrolled:

  • Students receiving an ITC-ES and who perform excellently during the course may be offered some additional academic research courses or workshops.
  • Depending on the study and thesis research results, a selected limited number of students will be offered a 3-month study extension during which either a scientific paper or a PhD research proposal can be developed.

What is the award about?

International Ambassadors are active representatives for the University. The International Ambassador Scholarship is intended to recognise and provide financial support for outstanding students who wish to act as ambassadors for the University of West London.

As an ambassador you will act as an active representative of the University. You will be expected to participate in current and future promotional activities, and as such, will be interviewed and photographed by our marketing department. The scholar will also contribute from time- to-time in the promotion of the University of West London by supporting events organised for scholars, and events organised by the International Office. The scholar agrees no payment will be made by the University to the scholar for their participation in promotional activities. The scholar assigns to the University any intellectual property or other rights which are created as part of the promotional material. The University reserves the right to revoke the scholarship in the event the scholar is not fulfilling the requirements of the role.

As outstanding students, ambassadors will also contribute from time to time in the promotion of the University of West London by supporting events organised for scholars and by the International Office.

  • A self-funded overseas full fee-paying paying student (please note: EU applicants are not eligible).

  • You can apply for the International Ambassador Scholarships by completing a scholarship application form.
  • If you are unable to save a completed version of the form, you may not have the required software. If this is the case, please print off the form, complete the application and scan and send it to [email protected].
  • A decision will be made by Friday 27th July 2018 and successful recipients will be notified by e-mail.
