Report reaching us is that the bill to amend the validity period of JAMB UTME result from 1 year to 3 years has passed 2nd reading at the Senate.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki disclosed this on his twitter handle.
He said that the validity of JAMB result as it is, is backed by law and for you to amend that you must repeal and pass an amendment.

He equally stated that it is the hope of the Nigerian Senate that the amendment will reduce financial and psychological burdens on Nigerian students.
Meanwhile, the bill has been referred to the Senate’s Tertiary Education and TETFUND Committee for further legislative action.
