The Nigeria Police Academy has announced the commencement of applications for its 12th Regular Course for the 2025/2026 academic session. This five-year degree program combines academic training with professional police education, culminating in commissioning as an Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP).
Application Timeline
The application portal opens on Monday, July 28, 2025 and closes on Monday, September 8, 2025. This gives you a six-week window to complete your application.

Academic Requirements
JAMB Requirements
- 2025 JAMB UTME score of at least 180 marks
- Must have selected Nigeria Police Academy as first choice
O'Level Requirements
You must have a minimum of six credit passes in WAEC or NECO, which must include:
- English Language (required)
- Mathematics (required)
- Four other relevant subjects
Important: Credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings, and your SSCE certificate must be from 2021 onward only. Older certificates are not accepted.

Citizenship & Identity
- Must be Nigerian by birth
- Must possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN)
- Must have a valid email address and phone number
Age Requirement
You must be between 16 and 21 years old as of October 31, 2025.
Physical Requirements
For Male Applicants:
- Minimum height: 1.67 meters (5'6")
- Minimum expanded chest measurement: 86 centimeters
For Female Applicants:
- Minimum height: 1.64 meters (5'4")
Marital Status
- You must not be married at the time of admission
- Female applicants must not be pregnant at admission
Application Process
Step 1: Generate Payment Code
Visit www.admission.polac.edu.ng and generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code.
Step 2: Make Payment
Pay the non-refundable fee of ₦6,000 using your RRR code through any bank or online platform that accepts Remita.
Step 3: Complete Online Form
Return to the portal after payment and fill out the complete application form with accurate information.
Step 4: Upload Documents
Scan and upload the following documents:
- SSCE certificate (WAEC or NECO)
- Birth certificate or age declaration
- Certificate of State of Origin/Local Government
- Recent passport photograph
Step 5: Print Application
After submission, print your completed application form. You'll need to submit this during the aptitude testing stage.

Important Reminders
SSCE Certificate Date
Only WAEC/NECO certificates from 2021 or later are accepted. If your certificate is older, it will not qualify you for admission regardless of your grades.
NIN is Mandatory
Ensure you have obtained your National Identity Number before applying. Applications without valid NIN will not be processed.
First Choice Requirement
You must have chosen Nigeria Police Academy as your first choice institution during JAMB registration. Change of institution is not permitted for this program.
