Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), formerly Kogi State University, has released the departmental cut-off benchmarks for the 2025/2026 admission exercise.

Important Notice

According to the university management, no candidate will be considered for admission into any program without meeting the specified cut-off mark for that course.

  • Medicine & Surgery: 65.5
  • Nursing Science: 62.0
  • Mass Communication: 58.5

Technology and Science Programs

  • Computer Science: 56.4
  • Microbiology: 55.5
  • Data Science: 55.0
  • Cybersecurity: 55.0
  • Software Engineering: 55.0

Social Sciences

  • Political Science: 54.5
  • Sociology: 50.5

Lower Entry Threshold Programs

These programs have the lowest cut-off marks (31.2):

How Scores Are Calculated

The cut-off marks represent an aggregate of candidates' performance in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) combined with their WAEC results. Candidates should monitor their CAPS portal for their computed aggregate scores.
