Taraba State University (TASU) Jalingo has announced its Post-UTME screening schedule for the 2025/2026 academic session. The online screening exercise runs from August 1 through September 15, 2025, with registration open throughout this period.

The minimum JAMB UTME score required is 150 for all undergraduate programs.

Who Can Apply?

UTME Candidates - Eligibility

You must meet all these requirements:

• Selected TASU Jalingo as your first choice institution in the 2025 UTME
• Scored minimum of 150 in your JAMB examination
• Obtained five O'Level relevant credits including Mathematics and English Language
• Credits must be from not more than two sittings

Direct Entry Candidates - Requirements

DE applicants need:

• National Diploma: Minimum of Lower Credit
• NCE: Minimum of Lower Credit
• IJMB: Minimum of Lower Credit
• O'Level: Same five-credit requirement as UTME candidates (including Mathematics and English)
• Maximum Sittings: Two sittings for O'Level results

Registration Process

Step 1: Create Your Account

1. Visit https://apply.tsuniversity.edu.ng/register.php
2. Click on "Create Account" or "New Applicant"
3. Provide your JAMB registration number
4. Enter a valid email address (you'll receive updates here)
5. Create a secure password

Step 2: Complete Online Form

• Fill in all required personal information accurately
• Enter your JAMB and O'Level details
• Select your chosen program/department
• Provide your contact information (phone number, email)

Step 3: Upload Credentials

Upload clear scanned copies of:

• O'Level result(s) - WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB
• JAMB result slip
• Birth certificate or age declaration
• Passport photographs
• For DE candidates: Your diploma, NCE, or IJMB certificate

Step 4: Make Payment

TASU accepts payment through:

• Verve Card

Follow these steps:

1. Select your payment method on the portal
2. Enter your card details securely
3. Authorize the ₦2,000 payment
4. Print your payment receipt immediately
5. Save the transaction reference number

Step 5: Print Documents

After successful payment and submission:

• Print your payment receipt
• Print your acknowledgement slip
• Keep both documents safe for future reference
• You may need them during admission verification

Critical Requirements

Screening Participation is Mandatory

TASU states clearly that "only candidates participating in the screening exercise will be considered for admission."

This means:

• Your JAMB score alone is not enough
• Post-UTME registration and participation are compulsory
• Non-participation automatically disqualifies you
• There are no exceptions to this rule

No False Declarations

The university warns that "false declarations may result in disqualification at any stage."

Be truthful about:

• Your exam results (don't inflate scores)

Social Sciences

Usually require: English, Mathematics, Economics, Government/History, Literature/CRS

Arts/Humanities

Usually require: English, Mathematics, Literature, Government/History, Language/CRS

Important: Check TASU's specific subject requirements for your department. Generic credits may not qualify you if they're not relevant to your course.
