UDUSOK Fully-Funded MSc/PhD Positions in Malaria Research 2026
The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUSOK) is inviting applications for fully-funded Master's and PhD research positions in malaria drug discovery.
Research Projects Available
Two distinct research tracks are available for interested candidates:
- Project 1: In Vitro and In Vivo Antiplasmodial Activity and Safety Evaluation of the n-Hexane Fraction of Combretum glutinosum Root
- Project 2: Molecular Mechanisms and Bioactive Compound Characterisation of the n-Hexane Fraction of Combretum glutinosum in Experimental Malaria
Eligibility Requirements
For MSc Candidature:
- Relevant bachelor's degree with CGPA above 3.5
- Commitment to full-time study
For PhD Candidature:
- MSc degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology or related field
- Commitment to full-time study
Note: Publication and conference participation are preferred but optional.
What the Funding Covers
The scholarship provides full coverage for:
- Laboratory reagents
- Chemicals and consumables
- Bench fees
Important: Tuition fees and stipends are not included in this funding package. Candidates should make alternative arrangements for these costs.
