The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has released details for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise. The computer-based test will take place from September 1-6, 2025, at the institution's Ugbowo Campus.
Minimum Cut-off Mark
UNIBEN requires a minimum JAMB score of 200 for all candidates. However, meeting this cut-off doesn't guarantee admission - final selection depends on your screening performance and available spaces in your chosen program.
Who Can Apply
You're eligible if you:
- Chose UNIBEN as your first choice institution during 2025 JAMB registration
- Scored at least 200 in the 2025 UTME
- Have five O'Level credits (including English and Mathematics) in no more than two sittings
- Applied for Direct Entry through JAMB with the required qualifications
Application Process
Registration opens on Monday, August 4, 2025 and closes at midnight on August 26, 2025. Follow these steps:
- Visit www.uniben.edu
- Enter your JAMB registration number and UTME score
- Generate a payment invoice (₦2,000 screening fee)
- Pay through any bank using Remita
- Complete your application form after payment confirmation
- Print your acknowledgment slip

Course Categories
UNIBEN groups programs into five categories for the screening:
- Physical Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, etc.)

- Management Sciences (Accounting, Business Administration, etc.)
- Arts (including Law programs)
What to Bring on Exam Day
You must present:
- Printed acknowledgment slip
- Screening invitation letter
- Valid identification
Note: Mobile phones, calculators, and electronic devices are prohibited in the exam hall.
