UNILORIN Post-UTME / DE Screening Form and Registration Invitation
LATEST UPDATE: The application deadline has been extended from Sunday, 18th August, 2024 to Sunday, 25th August, 2024.
The Post-UTME Screening Exercise will commence on Thursday, 29th August, and end on Monday, 2nd September, 2024.
University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) 2024/2025 Post UTME screening form for all admission-seeking candidates is now available as has been announced by the institution. All concerned aspirants and interested members of the public that wish to study in the institution are hereby notified and advised to procure their forms as soon as possible.
This is to inform all candidates who made the University of Ilorin their first choice in the 2024/2025 admission exercise that online registration for Post-UTME screening exercise has commenced.
UNILORIN Post UTME Required Cut-Off Mark
To be eligible, UTME candidates must have scored at least 180 in the UTME examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Registration for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise will Commence from 00:01 on the 5th August, 2024 to 00:00 midnight of Sunday, 25th August, 2024. 18th August, 2024
UNILORIN Post-UTME Registration Guidelines
- Wrong entries will automatically disqualify a candidate; and
- Offer of Admission will be based on an aggregate of UTME/DE score (50%);
Post-UTME screening score (30%); and five (5) relevant O’ level grades (20%).
Registration Instructions
Registration Instructions – candidates are requested to print out this page and read the instruction carefully before commencing registration.
(i) Registration period is from 00:01 on the 5th August, 2024 to 00:00 midnight of Sunday, 25th August, 2024.
(ii) All candidates are to upload their O’ Level and/or A’ Level results where applicable on JAMB CAPS: Candidates who are awaiting results should so indicate by typing/selecting ‘AR’.
(iii) Change of course: Candidates who are interested in changing courses/programmes are to effect these changes on JAMB CAPS and NOT on the unilorin portal as the University will periodically download these changes from jAMB CAPS and update the Unilorin portal right up to the time of closure of PUTME registration. There will be no updates after the closure of registration.
(iv) Before commencing the registration process, Candidates must have a personal, valid and active email address as well as a personal (not a third-party) mobile number.
(v) A candidate will proceed to pay Registration fee of ₦2,000.00 only. (See B.vi. below)
(vi) Candidates are advised to please crosscheck the correctness of all entries before final submission.
(vii) Candidates should note that information entered can be reviewed for correction purposes during the course of registration right up to the closure of the portal for registration to ensure error-free registration.
(viii) Candidates should print out their screening document and make sure that all information entered are correctly displayed. Where then information supplied is not correctly displayed, candidates are advised to re-enter their information.
(ix) Candidates who have valid complaints regarding the correctness of report such at the University of Ilorin Admissions Office by sending an email to [email protected]
(x) Candidates are advised to make sure that their printout bearing their BEST FIVE RELATED subjects are clearly printed on their slips as well as other details such as the UTME subjects and scores.
(xi) Candidates who register for courses that admit only candidates with one sitting or result (MBBS, Pharmacy, Optometry and Computer engineering) must ensure that only THE ONE SITTING is submitted on the portal.
NOTE: AT THE CLOSE OF REGISTRATION, CANDIDATES SHOULD ENSURE
THAT THE O’ LEVEL RESULTS UPLOADED ON THE UNIVERSITY
PORTAL SHOULD BE THE SAME AS THAT UPLOADED ON JAMB CAPS.
Step-by-step Registration Procedure
(i) Visit https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng/ug/candidate OR visit
https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng and click Post-UTME Registration. Candidates are strongly advised NOT TO USE ANY OTHER LINK.
(ii) On the Undergraduate Pre-admission Page click on Verify your details displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.
(iii) Complete the displayed fields (e.g. JAMB Registration Number, email address and phone number). The surname and first name are automatically displayed for confirmation.
NOTE: ensure you supply your personal and active email address and phone number; this will be used in further communications.
(iv) Candidates should click on the verify button to proceed to the payment page.
(v) Click on proceed to go to Remita platform.
▪ Select your ATM card type (e.g. Visa or Master Card).
▪ Enter your ATM Card Number which is the 12 digits number on the card.
▪ Enter ATM card expiry date and the card CVV (the 3 digits on the reverse side of the Card) Lastly enter your card pin number; and
▪ Click on Pay.
Please note:
Candidates are advised not to refresh browser while the payment process is ongoing to avoid multiple deductions from your account. If unsure, please wait for some hours for the possibility of getting a debit alert from your bank. If you have any problem with your previous payment, visit the undergraduate Pre-admission page and click on Confirm your Payment, provide your JAMB Registration Number and validate your payment.
You can resend login after successful payment validation.
(vi) Upon successful payment, candidate login is automatically sent to the email address provided.
(vii) Upon successful payment,
• candidate login is automatically sent to the email address provided
• now visit https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng
• enter your JAMB Registration Number and the password sent to your email; and click ‘login’
(viii) Click on ‘Application’ on the left-hand side menu, and complete all necessary details; and
(ix) Click ‘submit’ button when all information have been accurately provided.
Note: Candidates who wish to upgrade from UTME to Direct Entry must do the upgrade on JAMB CAPS before starting the registration process on Unilorin portal and must ensure that the exact details of the upgrade to DE are effected on the Unilorin portal.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
I. The step-by-step Registration Procedures in B, (i – ix) above also apply to Direct Entry candidates.
II. In addition to (I) above, Direct Entry candidates are required to select their highest academic qualification from the drop-down and provide all relevant information.
IN CONCLUSION, CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO CAREFULLY ENTER THEIR
RESULTS AS ANY ERROR WILL BE TREATED AS DELIBERATE FALSIFICATION OF RESULTS, WHICH WOULD LEAD TO AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION AT ANY STAGE OF DISCOVERY.

About University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)
The University of Ilorin, also known as UNILORIN, is a university in Ilorin, Nigeria. It was established by a decree of the Federal Military Government in 1975 and is a federal government owned tertiary institution of education located in Ilorin, Kwara State, western Nigeria.
The ancient city of Ilorin, capital of Kwara State, is about 300 km fromLagos and 500 km from Abuja, the country’s administrative capital. In August 2014, the school was ranked as the best university in Nigeria by 4icu.
From three faculties in 1976, today there are fifteen faculties: Arts (1976), Education (1976), Engineering & Technology (1978), Agriculture (1982), Law (1993, after an initial start-up in 1983), Basic Medical Sciences (2004), Clinical Sciences (2004) Communication and Information Sciences (2008), Veterinary Medicine (2009), Pharmaceutical Science (2010), and Life Science; Physical Science; Environmental Science; Management Sciences; and Social Sciences in (2013).
Altogether, there are over 60 academic departments in the existing ten faculties. Undergraduate degree programmes run for 3,4,5, or 6 years, depending on entry qualifications and discipline.
The University started with the traditional British “Three Term System” but later changed into a modified form of the American “Two Semester System” called Harmattan and Rain semesters with effect from 1979/80 session.
Each semester comprises one half of an academic year as determined by Senate. Also instruction in the various Faculties with the exception of the Health Sciences is by the course system. These courses are quantified into credits.
The University has teaching support units which include the Computer Centre, Central Workshop and Stores, Biological Garden, Community Based Experience and Services (COBES), Medical Educational Resources Unit, General Studies (Use of English/National Awareness) Division, and Teaching & Research Farm.
