UNIUYO Basic Studies and Pre-Degree Admission 2026/2027: Courses, Fees and Dates

The University of Uyo has opened applications for its Basic Studies and Pre-Degree programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Basic Studies Programme

The one-year Basic Studies programme prepares students for JUPEB examinations. Successful candidates who meet the relevant admission requirements may proceed into 200 level through Direct Entry.

Pre-Degree Programme

The one-year Pre-Degree programme prepares candidates for the 2026/2027 UTME and internal examinations. Successful candidates who meet JAMB cut-off marks may be admitted into 100 level in eligible UNIUYO programmes.

Available Areas

The programmes cover courses across Agriculture, Arts, Basic Clinical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Management Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Communication and Media Studies, Education, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Computing, Law, Pharmacy and Social Sciences.

Admission Requirements

• At least five O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Credits must be in subjects relevant to the chosen course.
• Results may be from SSCE, WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB.
• The credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
• JAMB score is not required to apply for the Basic Studies or Pre-Degree programme.

Application Fees

• Basic Studies: ₦15,500
• Pre-Degree: ₦10,500

How to Apply

1. Visit the UNIUYO admissions portal.
2. Create an account and verify your email.
3. Log in and select Basic Studies or Pre-Degree.
4. Generate your Remita Retrieval Reference.
5. Pay online or at a bank using the RRR.
6. Return to the portal, complete the application form and upload required PDF documents.
7. Print the screening slip.

Screening Dates

• Registration closes: September 30, 2026
• Mock test: September 25, 2026
• Main test: October 27 to November 7, 2026
