UNIUYO Convocation Ceremony: The University of Uyo, cordially invites the general to her 29th/30th combined convocation ceremony which is scheduled to hold as follows. The graduating students, parents, well-wishers and members of the public should take note.

Senate of the University of Uyo hereby announces to all graduands, parents, guardians and the general public, that the 29th and 30th combined Convocation for the conferment of Honorary Degrees, Higher Degrees, First Degrees, and the Award of Diplomas, Certificates and Prizes to her graduands of 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 Sessions will take place from:

Monday, 4th November, 2024 – Saturday, 9th November, 2024

• Press briefing -2pm

Tuesday, 5th November, 2024

• Alumni home coming -2pm

Wednesday, 6th November, 2024

• Convocation lecture – 2pm
• Convocation play- 4pm.

Thursday, 7th 

• Inauguration of completed projects- 9am
• Conferment first Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates- 10am

Friday, 8th November, 2024

• Conferment of Master Degrees and postgraduate Diplomas- 10am

Saturday, 9th November, 2024

• Investiture of Emeritus and Distinguished Professors -10am
• Conferment of Honorary doctorate degrees,
• Conferment of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D).

UNIUYO runs sixty six academics programmes from twelve faculties. Sixty five of these programmes have been given full accreditation status after a comprehensive audit by National Universities Commission(NUC), the body that has the supervisory mandate over Universities for the maintenance of standards and quality.

Our medical school has graduated four sets of medical doctors within ten years. Our law graduates have continued to excel in the Nigerian law school. The world bank through the Science Technology and Engineering – Post Basic (Step B) Project is installing fiber-optic cable for broad-band internet access in the University and with counterpart support from the University wireless and broad-band internet access should be available at most locations in the University.
