UNIUYO postpones hostel opening, 2025/2026

The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has announced a postponement of the hostel opening date for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to an internal memorandum from the Accommodation Officer dated November 12, 2025, the original opening scheduled for that same date has been delayed due to urgent matters requiring attention in some hostel areas.

New Opening Date

Students will now be checked into hostels beginning Monday, November 17, 2025.

Temporary Accommodation

Students who have already been allocated bed spaces and have traveled from distant locations may report to temporary accommodation facilities:

• Male Students: W5 Hostel
• Female Students: W2A Hostel

Important Dates

• Original opening date: Wednesday, November 12, 2025 (postponed)
• New hostel check-in date: Monday, November 17, 2025

Students from remote areas already on campus may access temporary housing at the designated facilities while awaiting the main opening.
