University of Wollongong in Dubai Undergraduate Scholarship Details and FAQs
The University of Wollongong in Dubai, abbreviated as UOWD, is a private university located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The University is one of the UAE’s oldest universities, having been founded in 1993. The Campus has over 3,500 students from more than 108 countries.
The UOW Dubai Campus is located in Dubai, one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Largest city in United Arab Emirates. The Campus is situated at Dubai Knowledge Village, an educational free trade zones campus in the city of Dubai that provides facilities for training and learning institutions.
In addition to the administrative building, the library, the university campus includes the faculties, student lounge, Multipurpose Room and the Food Court that houses many different restaurants(The Food court is a common eating area for the entire Dubai Knowledge Village).
The Campus offers Residential Services to students, allowing them to live together in a unique multi-cultural environment conducive to academic success, personal growth, and social development. The Residences are located in Jebel Ali Gardens (approximately 15 minutes by bus from Dubai Knowledge Village).
The undergraduate Academic Merit Scholarship at UOWD covers 15% – 50% of tuition fees each semester. The scholarship does not include textbooks, excursions, accommodation, living expenses or any other study-related expenses.

- Applications are open to students of any citizenship.
- Applications are open to new (entry level) students.
- Applicants must have achieved the minimum grades as listed in the Curriculum table below.
- Applicants must meet all of the academic and admission criteria to be admitted to the University and be intending to enrol in the relevant session for which they have applied.
What are the benefits of the award?
Three categories of scholarship are available to undergraduate students.
- 50% scholarship (conditions apply)
- 25% scholarship
- 15% scholarship
How to Apply for the University of Wollongong in Dubai Undergraduate Scholarships
If you would like to apply for any of the UOWD Scholarships, you should submit an Application for Scholarship form, along with supporting documentation relevant to your chosen Scholarship (academic transcripts, completion certificate(s), awards, referee reports, alumni ID, as appropriate) to the Registrar’s Department. Applications must be received by the closing date (as listed below) and submitted via the Scholarship Form.
