The University of Nigeria (UNN), commonly referred to as UNN, is a federal university located in Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. Founded in 1955 and formally opened on 7 October 1960, the University of Nigeria has four campuses – Nsukka, Enugu and Ituku-Ozalla – located in Enugu State and one in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria.
The University of Nigeria(UNN) was the first full-fledged indigenous and first autonomous university in Nigeria, modeled upon the American educational system. It is the first land-grant university in Africa and one of the five elite universities in the country. The university has 15 Faculties and 102 academic departments. The University offers 82 undergraduate programs and 211 postgraduate programmes.
The university celebrated its 50th anniversary on October 2010.
UNN 2015/2016 Direct Entry (DE) Screening
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) hereby invites candidates for Direct Entry Admission into the institution who registered with Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for screening.
The Computer Based Test (CBT) screening will be conducted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library (Digital Laboratory) University of Nigeria, Nsukka Campus; as follows:
DATE: 29th September, 2015
Time – 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
FACULTIES: Dentistry, Health Sciences & Technology, Medicine & Surgery, Pharmaceutical Sciences & Veterinary Medicine
Time – 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
FACULTIES: Arts, Business Administration, Law and Social Sciences
Time – 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
FACULTIES: Agriculture, Biological Sciences , Education, Engineering, Environmental Studies and Physical Sciences
Online Registration
a. Eligible candidates are requested to pay a processing fee of three thousand naira (N3,000.00) only through certified Bank Draft payable to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka to be submitted on the day of the exam.
b. Candidates should access and complete the University of Nigeria 2015/2016 Direct Entry CBT screening form online at unn.edu.ng . The Bank Draft number should be reflected on the online form.
c. Online registration commences on Monday 21st September, 2015 and ends on Monday 28th September, 2015. Those who fail to register within the stipulated period will not be screened during the exercise.
All candidates are required to bring the following during the screening exercise:
1.A copy of ONLINE form duly completed
2.2015/2016 JAMB registration slip.
3.N3,000.00 certified Bank Draft
No GSM handset, calculator or any other extraneous materials should be brought into the Screening Hall.
Visually Impaired Candidates are not invited to the screening exercise, but they should register online.
