WAEC GCE 2026 First Series Registration: Fee, Deadline, and How to Register

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has commenced registration for the 2026 GCE First Series examination. Candidates who wish to sit for this exam should complete their registration before the deadline.

Registration Fee

• Normal Registration: ₦27,000
• Walk-in Registration: ₦45,000 (for candidates registering within 24 hours of their exam date)

Note: A ₦500 commission applies when paying through bank branches.

Registration Deadline

• Normal Registration Closes: Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 11:59 PM
• Walk-in Registration Begins: Wednesday, January 28, 2026

How to Register

1. Purchase a Registration PIN from authorized banks, WAEC offices, or approved agents
2. Visit the official WAEC portal: www.waeconline.org.ng
3. Create an account or log in if you already have one
4. Enter your PIN and complete the registration form
5. Upload a quality passport photograph (275×314 pixels, JPEG format)
6. Provide valid email address and phone number
7. Review your details and submit
8. Print your Admission Notice as proof of successful registration

Payment Methods

You can pay for the registration PIN through:

• Bank branches (with ₦500 commission)
• Cashless channels: Paga, PalmPay, Paycom, Interswitch, and 13+ other platforms

Examination Format

The 2026 GCE uses a hybrid format:

• Objective papers: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
• Essay and practical papers: Questions displayed on screen, answers written in booklets
